King Ludwig II of Bavaria's fairy tale castle is world famous. The reclusive dreamer, "Kini" remains of interest to this day and is revered as an idol. His castles, in which a stranger was never meant to set foot, have been visited by over 50 million people since his death.
Lake Constance (Lindau approx. 40 km)
For centuries Lake Constance has remained a favourite destination for guests in search of recuperation, nature and art lovers, sports enthusiasts and connoisseurs alike. Germany, Austria and Switzerland all border on this lake. The cities of Bregenz, Lindau, Friedrichshafen, Meersburg and the island Mainau, with its abundant vegetation, are all classic outing destinations on the so-called, "Swabian sea".
Oberammergau (approx. 100 km)
Oberammergau is a charming village, world famous for its wood carving tradition and the Passion Play, which take place once every ten years.
Garmisch-Partenkirchen/Zugspitze (approx. 140 km)
